Our Mission Statement
“To lift our hands to Jesus, hold each other’s, and open His love to our community.”
Sunday Worship Schedule
8:00a.m. Traditional Worship:
This traditional worship period features a variety of liturgical formats, organ music and hymns. Holy Communion is served every Sunday.
9:15a.m. Bible Class:
Led by Pastor Matt, this is an opportunity for us to gather around the word and hold hands in a discussion led Bible class which meets in the sanctuary.
10:30a.m. Contemporary Worship:
This informal worship time is great for families featuring praise songs. Children’s Worship is held during the sermon for ages 3 through 3rd grade. Holy Communion is served every Sunday.
The Mother’s Room located in Room 110 offers viewing of both services on closed circuit television.
We offer two services each week a Traditional service at 8 am and a Contemporary Service at 10:30 am. While structurally and musically different, they are thematically and theologically the same.
We worship in a manner that encourages congregational participation through God’s Word, prayer, the Sacraments, song, and creative physical expression.
We encourage congregation members to use their talents in worship.
We are open to the working of the Holy Spirit in the lives of the congregation and community.
We use a variety of resources for each worship service to best support Gospel proclamation.
We foster multi-generational community worship and individual spiritual growth.
It’s hard to get to know someone by looking at the back of his or her head on Sunday morning! Small groups or ‘caring’ groups are a great way to make friends and hold hands with each other through fellowship, prayer and Bible study.
Resurrection has a number of small groups centered around a common interest or to serve a specific function.
Pastor Matt is starting to work on forming new groups so please check back to see what new groups will be holding hands together.

Past, Present, Future
Resurrection has roots going all the way back to 1956 as a mission church of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. Throughout the decades RLC has been passionate about showing God’s love both locally and globally. Additionally, it has fostered many multi-generational relationships and made many disciples of the Lord.
Resurrection is pastored by Matthew Mantey, who became pastor in 2011. Being younger, and this being his first church, he has been excited to continue the traditions of RLC, while doing them in new and creative ways. Part of this is done through lifting hands, holding hands and opening hands. He hopes you will join hands first with Christ then with brothers and sisters at Resurrection’s community of faith.
God holds the future in his hands and this is the hope we go forward in. Having just hired a new Director of Worship, Ron Mallory, the church is enthused to recharge itself by lifting hands in worship. Through this we are going to continue and grow in holding hands and opening our hands in the community.
Resurrection Lutheran’s Core Values Statement
God has revealed Himself as the Triune God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
The Bible is the true, inerrant Word of God and, as the only authority for the church, is the sole basis for our teaching.
In the face of the ever-changing morality of society, we are willing to take a strong stand on moral issues based on the clear teaching of Scripture.
Salvation is based solely on God’s grace, which we receive through faith in Jesus Christ, who is uniquely true God and true man.
We are a joyful Spirit-filled church.
The purpose of the church is to “make disciples” which includes discipling believers and especially reaching out to the unchurched both in our community and around the world.
We provide a variety of worship experiences, both liturgical and contemporary, that are rooted in the Word and sacraments.
We are a caring church that welcomes people regardless of their background, demonstrating God’s love by serving each other and our community.
We value both the diversity of our members and unity in the church as gifts of God. Our unity comes from a shared doctrine and vision of ministry and a mutual love for one another.
We affirm the need to provide ministry and opportunities that are age-inclusive. We especially value the place of children and youth in the life of the church and the need to provide appropriate ministry to our more senior members.
We are a praying church and are witnesses to the fact that God answers prayer.
We are committed to excellence in all that we do to the Glory of God.
