Christ has been raised. The Spirit is coming with wind and fire. So now what? Now what do we do as the church called into being by the Christ who was born, who lived and healed and taught and loved, who suffered and died on a cross, and was raised in glory? Before he left this earth to take his place at the right hand of God, he called his followers together one more time. In that moment, in which his followers were as shaky as they ever were, he gave what we have come to call the Great Commission. It is our mission statement, our reason for being. But to even begin to fulfill this calling, we must learn to open our eyes to the people who surround us. So that is what we did from May 31st through June 28th.
