Resurrection focuses on local missions by opening hands to the surrounding communities of Des Moines, Normandy Park, and Burien through our members. Additionally, we serve through the Lutheran Women's Missionary League, Lutheran World Relief, local food bank support, hospital and prison ministries, and community service events.

Resurrection opens our hands to show Jesus' love to our community by:

• Thanksgiving baskets put together and delivered by youth and adults
• Angel Tree (gifts purchased, wrapped and taken to families at Christmas)
• Ongoing collecting of donations for specific projects by the Women's Fellowship Group / LWML
• Women's Fellowship spearheads the annual Christmas Gifts ingathering for The Lutheran Compass Center clients
• Lutheran World Relief Quilt Tying Group which makes quilts to provide warmth and shelter for the needy.

All members and friends (including children and youth) are encouraged to participate. New ideas are always welcome!

The Lutheran Women's Missionary League / Lutheran Women in Mission, with a membership of more than 250,000, is the official women's auxiliary of The Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod. For 65+ years, the LWML has been encouraging and equipping women to live out their Christian lives in active mission ministries and to financially support global mission projects.

Our local LWML society, Resurrection Women's Fellowship, is dedicated to doing just that.

We "Serve the Lord with gladness" and extend our holding and opening hands of welcome to you as we share the bond of Christian fellowship, growth, and service.

Prayer teams are available to pray with you Sunday mornings at the 10:30am worship service during communion and after the service. Or by appointment for short or long-term prayer ministry. Call the church office for details.

A prayer chain team of dedicated prayer members is also available to pray for your needs.
